The Effects of the College Life Stress on the Mental Health of Health University College Students

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the general characteristics of health-related college students and the effects of college life stress on mental health. For this purpose, the survey was conducted based on the structured questionnaire from May 1 to 15, 2019, 520 health related college students from two university in G metropolitan city. As a result first, in general characteristics, gender, satisfaction of department, health condition, economic condition had a significant. Second, the correlation analysis between the sub-factor of college life stress and mental health showed a significant correlation. Third, health status had a negative effect on mental health, compared to lower health status, and as a sub-factor of college life stress, relationship with friends, value problems, relationship with reason, relationship with professor, and academic problems had a positive effect. Health related university students should be engaged in health related tasks after graduation, it is necessary to develop and apply programs to improve mental and physical health more actively.
